Celebrate Earth Day at Peabody Creek!

When: Earth Day! Wednesday, April 22nd
The Salmon Coalition is teaming up with the Feiro Marine Life Center and Friends of Peabody Creek to join in celebration of the 45th anniversary of Earth Day at Peabody Creek. We will be pulling out invasive ivy, replanting the area with cedar and hemlock saplings, as well as willow and red osier dogwood.
Peabody Creek is an urban creek in Port Angeles that needs your help! Not only did this creek once have wild salmon runs, but the Feiro Marine Life Center uses it for educating youth about water quality and stewardship. What better way to honor the earth than by interacting with and protecting your local watershed?
What to bring: Warm/waterproof layers, durable footwear, water, and snacks. We will provide gloves and tools.
We will also provide light refreshments to help fuel your Earth-Day ivy-busting fervor.
Directions: Please park on the street and meet us at the Peabody Creek Trail entrance behind Olympic Powersports (221 S. Peabody Street).
