Volunteer Removing Invasives

NOSC is all about improving salmon habitat~ we rely on volunteers like you to help remove fish barriers, like invasive aquatic plants. These pesky plants sure can cause more work for the salmon’s long journey to spawn. Let’s have all hands on board for this event. This is a safe event for the whole family. There is work to be done on land, and in the creek.

RSVP intern@nosc.org for more details, directions, wader size and shoe size if you decide to go in the creek. Tools, gear, and drinking water provided. Please bring a lunch.

When: 9:00am-1pm
Date: Saturday July 13th and Saturday July 20th

Location: (July 13th) Marshall’s Property- From Chimacum corner turn onto Chimacum Rd, then right onto Redeemer Way. Park along Redeemer Way and walk down the first gravel road the right (or follow the JLT signs!) to the end of the drive.

Location: (July 20th) At the North Preserve of the Jefferson Land Trust. Contact intern@nosc.org for directions and details.

Can’t wait to see you there!
