MLK Snow Creek Tree Planting Event
Location: Snow Creek, Discovery Bay – W. Uncas Rd 
Description: Honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of service and join us as we create a 50 foot riparian buffer along Snow Creek. This event is part of a 5,550 plant planting project so wrangle up your friends because there is a lot of work to be done!

Start Time: 10:00
End Time: 14:00

Please show up a little before 10am so everyone can get registered and we can all walk to the site together.  In the event of snow or ice the planting will be canceled.  Visit www.nosc.org if you suspect a weather cancellation; changes will be posted there.  Please RSVP to jentringer@nosc.org so we can bring enough tools, gloves and snacks!

What to bring:
–      Water/water bottle, lunch and snacks
–      Warm clothes, extra layers
–      Sturdy shoes/rain boots
–      Raincoat (don’t let a sunny morning fool you!)
–      Gloves and shovel if you have them

What NOSC provides:
–    Gloves & shovels
–    Water cooler (bring your own bottle!)
–    Snacks (compliments of Sunny Farms Country Store & Pane d’Amore Bakery)

Directions to Parking: From101, Take W Uncas Rd (just west of where Rt 20 meets 101).  On your left hand side you’ll see a dirt road.  Look for a NOSC sign and park at the beginning of this dirt road. Space is limited so carpooling is encouraged. From there, walk down the dirt road to find NOSC and the planting site.

Please join us in carpooling to the site.  We will be leaving the NOSC office at 9am.  Please let us know if you would like to carpool.
