VOLUNTEERS NEEDED Tues-Thurs in September:
Stream Surveys with the North Olympic Salmon Coalition (NOSC).

Water-loving volunteers are needed to help NOSC monitor Morse Creek (just east of Port Angeles) after our 2010 restoration project.  We will be measuring different habitat features such as pool and riffle lengths, large woody debris, stream depths and pebble sizes.  No experience necessary, training will be provided.  Volunteers need to be comfortable working in water for an extended period of time.  Chest waders and boots are needed and can be provided.  Please bring plenty of water, snacks and warm clothes.

Email Jac at Jentringer@nosc.org or call (360) 379-8051 to get involved.

Volunteers can either join us for a morning shift (9-12:30pm), afternoon shift (1pm-4pm) or all day (9am-4pm).  We need at least 4 volunteers each day.  If you can help at times different than the ones listed, please let us know, we are flexible.  If you can join us for multiple days even better!
