Salmon lantern workshop #3 – October 15th at Jefferson County Library!
Did you miss the first two salmon lantern workshops, or have so much fun at one that you want to make another lantern?
Join artist Thaddeus Jurcyznski for the third, fun and inspiring (and FREE!) lantern workshop on Wednesday, October 15th from 3-6pm at the Jefferson County Library in Port Hadlock.
Come craft your own lantern in preparation for the Salmon Festival on Saturday, November 1st from noon-6pm. All materials will be provided. Feel free to bring your own salmon images to trace on your lantern, though many options will be provided.
Under the expert guidance of artist Thaddeus Jurcyznski, participants will create a lantern of tissue and reeds, and decorate them with salmonid-inspired designs. The lanterns will be ceremoniously lit at the Festival in celebration of the return of our favorite local fishes.
