Work with the North Olympic Salmon Coalition to tackle this Scotch Broom before you can’t see the ocean thought a thick sea of yellow flowers…

NOSC Scotch Broom Removal at Ft. Worden – Friday, June 14th 
              Location: Ft Worden Park, start at PTMSC pier & head towards brown steps  
              Date: Friday, June 14th  
              Time: 10:00am-2:00pm
              Bring: Lunch/snack & water, sunscreen and/or Rain gear, warm clothing, appropriate sturdy footwear
              We’ll provide: Gloves & tools

We will hand pull and use weed wrenches to remove Scotch Broom along the Fort Worden State Park beach before it all goes to seed.  We will start by the PTMSC pier and work along the beach heading towards the brown steps.  Please arrive a little before 10am by the pier to sign in.  Bring your water bottle, rain coat & cross your fingers for some sunshine while we DESTROY SCOTCH BROOM.  Parking passes available during the event.  

After the event, celebrate your hard work with a visit to the Port Townsend Marine Science Center!
