SUMMARY:Discovery Bay Planting Party
DESCRIPTION:This 10+ year project included a creek re-meander\, engineered log jams\, and estuarine restoration. DESCRIPTION:The Dungeness River begins at some of the highest peaks in the Olympic Mountains (Mt. Deception – 7\,788 ft. and Mt. Constance – 7\,756 ft.) and flows 32 miles to the Dungeness Bay estuary. SUMMARY:Siebert Creek
DESCRIPTION:Siebert Creek watershed has been a focal point for community-based restoration and habitat protection over the last decade. \nSiebert Creek Conservation Area is a 38.5 acre parcel along Siebert Creek between Port Angeles and Sequim. Volunteers will plant native trees and shrubs. There is a nice forested trail to an overlook of Siebert Creek and the site is located adjacent to an Olympic Discovery Trail trailhead.
