Calling fruit enthusiasts of the fields and forests!
We are brewing a project of gastronomical proportions –very exact proportions, in fact– and one of the ingredients is Salmonberries. It’s salmonberry season, now, so read on.
- Please bring fresh or frozen salmonberries to the NOSC outreach office (call ahead to make sure we’re here), and we will stash them in the freezer, to be later shepherded to a local tastemaker.
- Please don’t pick them from places that are obviously bathed in chemicals (like the side of the highway), or if you haven’t washed your hands in a few days. Maybe treat them like you are picking them for your favorite aunt.
