12/12/26 – WDFW Andrews Volunteer Planting

Our local Washington Conservation Corps crew has worked hard to clear invasive species from this site along Snow Creek. Now we need extra hands to plant natives in their place!
About the site:
Once historically connected to Salmon Creek, Snow Creek was disconnected and straightened for agricultural purposes. Now, as part of an ongoing rehabilitation effort for salmon in Snow Creek, NOSC and several other local conservation groups are working to restore the riparian area surrounding Snow Creek so mature conifer trees can shade its flow again in the future.
The property we will be working on is permanently protected by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Planting Details:
Saturday, December 12th
10am – 2pm
Please bring lunch, water, and layers/shoes you need to be comfortable as we approach winter!
Directions will be provided in RSVP confirmation email.
