The Washington Conservation Corps (WCC) is an AmeriCorps program that supports young adults (ages 18-25) and military veterans as they jumpstart their careers in the environmental field.
The Education and Outreach Associate will collaborate with the friendly, hardworking staff of NOSC to improve wild salmon stocks and educate the local community about our work through community outreach, online media, environmental education, volunteer coordination, habitat restoration, and data collection. This position will include projects both in the office and the field. It is our goal that by the end of their term, the Education and Outreach Associate will have gained valuable job skills, leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and diverse experiences that prepare them for life after AmeriCorps.
Washington Conservation Corps Crew

The Washington Conservation Corps (WCC) is an AmeriCorps program that supports young adults (ages 18-25) and military veterans as they jumpstart their careers in the environmental field.
This restoration crew serves primarily with the North Olympic Salmon Coalition doing boots on the ground restoration work during the 11-month term. Other partners may include Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe, The Jefferson Land Trust, Washington State Parks, and Jefferson County Noxious Weed Control Board. The crew meets in Chimacum, Washington. This crew primarily focuses on riparian habitat improvement, and projects include noxious weed control, native plant installation, and site maintenance and monitoring. The crew may also complete trail, minor construction, and salmonid survey projects.
