Volunteer Stewardship: Make a Difference Day

Join NOSC to steward a restoration site along Discovery Bay! The Maynard restoration project was completed over ten years ago, after removing 150 creosote pilings from an abandoned railway and restoring 1,700 feet to natural shoreline. The result is habitat for hard shell clams and forage fish, an important food fish for salmon, among many other species. We will continue the work to provide healthy habitat by picking up trash and removing invasives at the Maynard site in celebration of Make a Difference Day.
