Refresh a Beloved Ambassador for Wild Salmon

For over 30 years, FIN the Salmon has been turning heads, sparking curiosity, and opening conversations about wild salmon across the Olympic Peninsula and beyond. However, time on the road leaves its mark. After years of travel and hands-on educational use, FIN’s paint is wearing away. The time has come to to give FIN a much-needed refresh and ensure she remains a vibrant and durable ambassador of salmon ecology for years to come.

We're raising $10,000 to repair and repaint FIN so she more closely resembles a spawning Chum salmon using marine-grade, long-lasting paint. Our friends at Gold Star Marine here in Port Townsend are taking on fiberglass repair and the repainting, using materials designed to withstand frequent transport, changing weather, and a lot of curious kids. Donate today and invest in year-round learning with a resource that will serve classrooms, families, and communities long into the future. With your help, FIN will be ready to delight people for the next generation and beyond!
